The Ultimate Day at Sea for Star Wars Fans

Grab your swimsuits and your LightSabers because Disney Cruise Line is bringing back Star Wars Day at Sea! This themed event will take place on cruises departing in early 2020. Guests can expect fun for all ages including legendary saga character meet and greets, live entertainment, guest speakers, movie marathons and more. Cruise itineraries include a seven-day Eastern or Western Caribbean trip leaving from Port Canaveral’s Disney Fantasy.

Fun for All

Live your Jedi dreams and personally meet the galaxy’s most iconic characters onboard for a photo opportunity! Guests can reserve a photoshoot time in advance, although it is likely to run into characters roaming the ship. There will also be cosplay parties where the guests are invited to dress up as their favorite Star Wars heroes or villains.

A “Summon the Force Show” will take place at night where characters will recreate iconic scenes. Movie marathons onboard will include a screening of all nine films. Fireworks will also light the night sky to the sounds of Star Wars’ most iconic tunes.

Guest speakers will speak at a Star Wars panel and animation workshops will be available for guests to experience the art behind Star Wars’ most beloved characters. For those unfamiliar with the series, a Star Wars 101 session will be offered to help guests review their intergalactic history.

Families are challenged to put their Jedi knowledge to the test with a fun-filled family trivia game. Passengers will get the chance to enjoy a ship-wide scavenger hunt, ending with a photo opportunity next to Chewbacca himself.

Just for Kids

Children will have the opportunity to defend against the First Order in an exciting puzzle-solving game, courtesy of Disney’s Oceaneer Club. Following this activity, young rebels will be invited to join the Resistance when characters visit looking for recruits.

Kids will also have the chance to undergo Jedi training and learn how to use the Force during the epic show, “Trials of the Temple.” Spectators can watch as their children battle against Darth Vader and Kylo Ren in an epic duel.
