Hurricane Irma Forces Port Canaveral Cruise Itinerary Changes

Update as of 9/6/17 at 10:30 AM

Hurricane Irma became a Category 5 hurricane as of 8 a.m. Tuesday and continues to move westward at 13 mph in the Atlantic Ocean. While there is still a lot of uncertainty in the predicted path of this storm, it is currently on track to hit the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico this week and potentially Florida or other parts of the Southeast this weekend and early next week. Hurricane warnings have been issued for the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Florida is also under a state of emergency.
