MSC Cruises Announces Plans For U.S. Restart

MSC Cruises has officially confirmed its plans for restarting sailing from U.S. ports in August 2021. The CDC has approved the cruise line’s Phase 2A Port Agreements for Port Miami and Port Canaveral as well as its request to conduct a test sailing on the MSC Meraviglia from Port Miami on July 17, 2021. This means both vaccinated and non-vaccinated guests will be welcome on board. Those who are not vaccinated or unable to verify vaccination will be subject to certain requirements such as additional testing which will be announced at a later date.

“After what has been a challenging period, we’re thrilled to say it’s finally time to cruise again. We are excited to be officially announcing our restart this summer from the U.S., and Florida in particular, as excitement is building for vacationers to get back to traveling and plan a much-deserved getaway,” stated Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises.

New itineraries for the MSC Meraviglia and MSC Divina are now open for booking. The Meraviglia will be the first of the two ships to begin sailing on August 2 from Miami offering 3, 4, and 7-night cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises’ private island. The Divina will resume cruising from Port Canaveral on September 16 and also offer 3, 4, and 7-night cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Ocean Cay.

The MSC Divina is the perfect ship for cruisers looking to get some rest and relaxation. Its combination of leisure facilities, world-class entertainment, and kid’s amenities will keep everyone in the family entertained. Some of the most extraordinary features onboard include an infinity pool in the back of the ship, a pool zone with hot tubs and a retractable roof so you can swim rain or shine, a fully immersive 4D Cinema, Broadway-size Pantheon Theatre, and a Formula One race car simulator. Since the Divina is heavily influenced by Italian cuisine, you’ll find some of the best gelato and specialty coffee creations onboard as well as an Italian Steakhouse. The Divina also offers an exclusive Yacht Club featuring 24-hour butler service as well as other private venues and restaurants.

Once you’ve booked your cruise, don’t forget to reserve your hotel accommodations, airport transportation, and cruise transfers or parking through Go Port.
